About southtown servicentre
Southtown Servicentre was originally a service station with fuel browsers. In 1994 the fuel side of things was closed down and the focus of the business was then turned fully to the workshop.
Shane Archibald had been working for the business for about 6 months at this stage and eventually bought the business in May 1996, operating the business with Yasmine, himself and a qualified mechanic 6 days per week.
The workshop now operates 5 days a week. Shane and Yasmine are now supported by an office lady, 2 qualified mechanics and 1 apprentice.
The business has always strived to fully support its customers by doing as much as possible in house. Any areas that cannot be covered are out sourced to long term reliable businesses.
Southtown Servicentre has had a long relationship with Michelin and BF Goodrich tyres, which started through Boral Tyres and now is direct with Michelin Australia.
Southtown Servicentre is committed to a high level of workmanship and therefore has always aligned themselves with quality brand name suppliers and supporters. This allow the job to continue on faultless long after the cost has been forgotten.
